2022 ::: day 3 “bat”

Golden phosphorescent works but hard to photograph well, so until I do, here's today's picture by day.

Poor Castle Nut. I’d change my vote if I had my time over.

2022 ::: day 2 "Scurry"

A quick one - pigment liner on bleed-proof paper.

@axbom actually, it has been brought to my attention that this archive included illegal material such as child pornography. My objections don’t extend to defending the preservation of that material.

Seems like there’s a few matters that can turn a 16-bit ethical question into black & white (and that’s one of them).

@axbom I’m glad to see them deplatformed, but am conflicted by one part of this story.

What are your thoughts on sites being wiped from the internet archive? Is the toxicity of this example doing ongoing harm there that outweighs the interests of preserving this history?

It's official- the studio I work for is shuttering in a month.

- A programmer with a background in music / audio technology

- An Art Hacker with gallery / museum experience

I’m old enough to remember being a Flash & GoLive! Users when Adobe acquired Macromedia.

We have a new addition to our family: this is 11 week old Luna.

My hypothesis about the resistence to the word "hypothesis" is that to use it, you need to be comfortable with being in a state of uncertainty.

To me, that's the super power of the designer that many of our business partner stakeholders are not adept at.

But I may be wrong on all those assumptions.

"Occlusion Grotesque is an experimental #typeface that is carved into the bark of a #tree. As the tree grows, it deforms the letters and outputs new #design variations, that are captured annually. The project explores what it means to design with #nature and on nature's terms."
