Veganism as colonialism
The final nail in the coffin, as a vegan of 7 years, that convinced me veganism is not a universal good, was watching white vegans on the blue hellsite shout at Inuit folks for eating seal.
Not only is it incredibly difficult and ecologically damaging to ship fresh vegetables to the Arctic, but what right does your colonizer ass have to tell someone whose culture has lived in harmony with the land for more than 20 thousand years how they are supposed to eat ethically. And lord help me should I hear another person say that the Inuit should not inhabit their ancestral lands because you feel bad about them eating those adorable sacks of blubber.
Veganism presupposes a flattened concept of food production and relationship to place. It presumes that everyone can and should eat the same way. It lacks any concept of the ecological, of the contingent, of the contextual.
Ecological food cultures must be adapted to place and time, and sometimes that means eating meat.
This is what snacks will be like in the Simulation.
The gpt-2 neural net attempted to add to a list of British snacks and came up with these.
Brilliant project that tidies up public domain ebooks.
Gutenberg and Internet Archive are wonderful resources, but the texts are poorly formatted for actual use, especially on ereaders.
This is a volunteer driven initiative to bring these texts up to date with modern standards and make them look as good as possible on the page.

$100 CAD per month is nothing to support a community of thousands of artists, but it is a lot for one person to afford. And that's where we have to ask all of you for help!
As stated in a pinned toot on my profile, we have two places where you can donate to •ART:
Many of you are already donating, and you have our gratitude! The rest of you, if you have the means, it would mean the world to us and our artists.
While I'm at it, I'm going to make one more thread of posts, and that's about how you can support •ART.
As many of you know, to accommodate our recent influx of new users I had to purchase a server upgrade to handle the extra weight.
Our instance is fully hosted and managed by @mastohost, who does such a fantastic job keeping us updated and running smoothly!
But it also costs money every month, and we rely on the support of our users to keep going.
@mikelynch Hello sir! :D
My Linux experience in a nutshell:
Every fucking thing is a special case, every time.
Everything's installed <here> except when it's not,
You start a thing this way except when you don't.
Recursive is -R unless it's -r and you will get it wrong EVERY TIME.
Every app is installed for everyone except this one you're using.
You can run anything from anywhere except this thing,
Group permissions matter except when they don't.
I'm starting to think maybe it's not me that's the problem.
I didnt give a proper #introduction so here I am doing it again 😅
Everyone calls me Meggles. I am a 26 year old digital artist with a passion for vibrant colors and fantasy inspired subjects. I adore creating unique characters! My style can be inconsistent at times but that's okay because experimenting is great and trying new things is awesome!

You don't HAVE to support the patreon but if a lot of people chipped in a dollar it'd help. @Curator puts in a ton of time and emotional.investment into this community and cares deeply about it.
This instance is under a lot of stress rn and im just gonna take a moment to mention that there is a patreon! https://www.patreon.com/MastoArt
