Hi. I'm Verdi. I’m a product designer at Mozilla where I work on Firefox.
I’ve had a ton of past lives including: nuclear sub engineer, performance/video/theater artist, high school media teacher, and professional machinima director.
I was also part of the small group of people making vlogging happen before YouTube was around.
Two years ago I got it in my head that I wanted to make games. Well, not real game games. More like art/vlog/performance/game mashups. Wish me luck.
•ART will never serve you ads, track you, sell your data, or charge you to use our site. But there are still costs related to running one of the largest artistic communities on Mastodon, and we rely on the generous support of our users to keep the lights on.

Otherwise, just keep on inspiring the with your amazing art! Thank you!
Yesterday I used Twine to prototype a small part of the game I'm working on. As part of that I added a tiny bit of css to make it fit better on a phone - https://gist.github.com/Verdi/6ed68f3d4b891ec69402dffc9dbedac8 and I created a Bandersnatch-like timer https://gist.github.com/Verdi/c04f379322fbcd789767e57f92af957f
Check them out if you make things with Twine. And see it in action with my little prototype https://dreamhouse.forsale/test/
the last photograph i took during daylight in 2018, as the sun slipped towards the waves just beyond the westernmost point on the island of oahu, hawaii. my parents stood nearby while i clambered down the rocks with my hasselblad.
it gets cold so quickly when we spin beyond the reach of the sun.

Y’all. I’m going to see Peter Murphy and David J play this tonight. https://youtu.be/s_RCwyYp3Lg 16yr old me exploded when I first heard that song.
And, we done. A surprisingly capable paper! No plan and intended to make a muddy mess. The first page of any new sketchbook is always me just throwing everything I can at it, and layering and scrubbing. It held up, and didn’t lift when I layered— a preference that is surprisingly hard to find in more cost efficient papers. I’m gonna enjoy keeping this one!
Product Designer for Firefox by day; maker of other things by night.
