How to find work as colorist?
Like, I ain't a drawer, nor offering a photography service, it's just color correction and color grading
Maybe the real question is, how to find photography directors or amateurs film makers?
In anyway, I have no clues
@JLGribble In my own defense, color correction and color grading may be the only services, but my background study is a little big than only that haha
@val Here's an article I found that might help.
https://www.productionbeast.com/blog/working-film-colorist/#:~:text=While%20you%20don't%20have,or%20no%20degree%20at%20all.
@JLGribble thanks for the link, it was indeed a good read and looks like a useful site
@JLGribble for some reason I can't finish to create a account
* sigh *
@val I guess it depends on the kind of colorist you want to be. If you want to work in the industry, as in like Hollywood, you'll probably have to have skills other than just that and enter into the industry in other ways til you get where you want to be. If you want to be a freelancer, I think you're going to have a hard time if that's the only service/skill you have to offer, because smaller projects will probably already have people doing that in addition to other things.
