Cowslip:
With smooth straight stems and delicate drooping yellow flowers, cowslip is unmistakable. Adding an early splash of colour to lawns and verges, it's my favourite spring flower.

Blackthorn -
Blackthorn is a spiky, bushy plant used for hedges. Blackthorn produces it's flowers before it's leaves. The fruit of the blackthorn are called sloes, and are famously used to flavour gin.

Colt's Foot -
Looks a bit like a dandelion. The stems look jagged, and the leaves emerge after the flowers.
