'Covesea Beach', watercolour, 26 x 17 cm. A loose, warm and colourful little painting of Covesea Lighthouse, which stands at the western edge of West Beach, Lossiemouth, on the Moray Firth coast of northern Scotland. This is a unique painting of which no prints will be made and is available on our website - please see www.robwighamwatercolours.com/available-work.html for details!

I love sketching - it's the best method of gathering information and really 'seeing' a subject. These are some local cliffs near us (it's called Cummingston) on the Moray Firth. It was a commission to show a young woman on the beach contemplating her future (it was the commissioner's grandmother a long time ago).

'Boats on Findhorn Bay', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. Another commission which went to its forever home a week ago! I went out on the bay in a small boat to get material for this; it's a tidal bay in northern Scotland and the currents are strong - which I've hinted at in the water around the mooring buoys. Culbin Forest stands on the far bank.

'A Nice Day for It', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. A house portrait, painted as a commission, including the family on a sunny day! It's a gorgeous house!!

'A Walk on Cullen Beach', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. A commissioned painting of this lovely snady beach on the Moray Firth coast of northern Scotland. That red coat on the dog was a boon, adding some warm colour to the scene!

For 120 years our local River Lossie has been spanned at Lossiemouth (in northern Scotland) by a wooden bridge. After years of neglect it became unsafe a couple of years ago. A new bridge has been built and will be opened in 2 weeks. Straight after that, the old bridge will be demolished. This painting (and prints) are my farewell to the bridge I've known so long: 'Lossiemouth Old Bridge Sunset.'

A quirky addition to our prints range: 'The Airborne Technician', watercolour. This painting celebrates 30 years of the 'AT' brevet with the RAF, coinciding with 30 years of the Sentry (AWACS) aircraft!

'Our Lady of the Assumption and St Meddan's Catholic Church', watercolour, 17 x 26 cm. I painted this little painting of the church in Troon, Scotland, as a commission from photographs provided by the commissioner. Love adding all those colours!

'Looking over Seatown, Cullen', watercolour, 58 x 38 cm. Another view from Castle Hill above the viaduct, looking down on the old fisherman's cottages of Seatown by the harbour in Cullen on the Moray Firth in northern Scotland. This painting was completed as a commission and is not available in print (although we have a similar view available in print form at www.robwighamwatercolours.com/findochty-to-cullen.html).

'Through Cullen Viaduct', watercolour, 55 x 35 cm - our newest print, available in 3 sizes! This is the iconic view of Cullen on the Moray Firth coast of northern Scotland, where the main road heads under the viaduct and suddenly the beach with the Three Kings rock formation appears in all its glory. The original painting is sold subject to collection but prints are available now - see www.robwighamwatercolours.com/findochty-to-cullen.html for details!

'The Farmhouse', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. A well-known landmark at Cullen in Moray, with the Moray Firth in the background and a little bit of artistic license applied to bring it a little closer to the road! Another commission off to its forever home this week... ☺️

'Gladys on Cummingston Beach', watercolour, 58 x 38 cm. Another commission, this one to show the commissioner's grandmother on her favourite beach as a young girl.

'Salmon Nets Drying at Macduff', watercolour, 55 x 36 cm. I did this painting from a couple of old black and white photos from the late 19th Century, to recreate the shoreline. It was for an old guy who used to fish the salmon before it became illegal in Scotland. The skyline of this view has changed a lot, but the houses at left are still there; the area in the foreground is now just waste ground, although you can see the foundations of the huts if you try!

'Old Friends', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. This is a view of the Covesea Lighthouse on the Moray Firth coast of north-east Scotland. I painted this as a commission - I'll be doing a sun like this again at some stage, it was a lot of fun!

Hi all, I'm new to Mastodon. By way of introduction, here's one of my watercolours: 'On Findhorn Beach', watercolour, 58 x 38 cm.
