i guess it's time for #introductions !
I'm Mar, a #photographer from Austria. I'm still constantly learning new things and (hopefully) improving my #photography with every new pic!
(also I'm very new to this place and don't really know what I'm doing yet or how it works, but i guess I'll figure it out with time)

So now that I'm starting to settle in around here, I should probably do one of those #introductions posts.
I'm hovering around the Pacific Northwest these days. I do computer stuff to pay the bills. In my real life, I'm an amateur photographer. I shoot both film and digital, depending on my mood. I usually will tweak the photo just enough on the computer to make it resemble what the scene looked like or felt like. Occasionally, I will manipulate the hell out of it, to make it look unique. The two photos below represent both of those approaches.
I have also started to dabble in drawing and painting. I don't plan to put in enough time to get good at those. I just want to poke at those art forms enough to see what they're like. I might post the occasional drawing or painting here, if it doesn't turn out to be too big of a disaster.
Tonight, I decided that I should revisit the very first digital photos I shot, way back in 2001 with my 2-megapixel camera! I wanted to see if they're any good, or if I can muck around with them on the computer and turn them into something that doesn't hurt the eyes and wound the art world. I like the two that I've attached below, especially the tower. Enjoy.
