I only realized this morning that 45 will eventually have a presidential library named after him, and I am kinda freaking out.

Again: at some point in the not-so-distant future, there will be a PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY named after DONALD J. TRUMP.

I just... I can't even. I love libraries SO MUCH, and this realization is making both my head and my heart hurt.

(Now to bury myself in work for the rest of the day to avoid thinking about it.)

I must admit, oulipo.social is a fascinating trial of constraint.

What's difficult to find my way around (so far) is not knowing how long I can sustain it.

But. Maintaining accounts at two instantiations, switching back & forth with my mood? That could do it. (Worth thinking about, anyway.)

Um... forgot to delete the word "can" back there (WHERE'S THE EDIT BUTTON?), so maybe not quite as serious a word nerd after all. Sigh.

I discovered oulipo.social today, and of course my first reaction was OH MY GOSH YES PLEASE, but then I realized it doesn't allow *any* use of the letter 'e'.

I mean, I consider myself a fairly serious word nerd, but dang. That is commitment. I don't think I've got the spare mental resources for that at this point in my life, but I'm gonna hang on to my account there to can keep an eye out for wordy goodness.

I am NOT a visual art guy, but I have accidentally managed to take a couple decent photographs over the years.

So, because this is Mastodon.ART, it seems fitting that one of my first properly shared bit of creativity should be one such happy accident, while acknowledging that this won't balance out what will inevitably be revealed as a heavy bias toward words.

OK, so the content warning bar functions as a kind of title. Good to know.

Not super sure how the content warnings work, so this is me testing it out.

The irony is that I am just about the least likely person you could think of to post anything that required a content warning, in the traditional sense.

Exploring a new social networking space always involves grappling with something like diluted nihilism. One is confronted with the reality that objective meaning & purpose do not exist in the new space and must then shoulder the work of creation.
