ROBOTFACE 004: Dinosaurs
We made a little website for our projects: http://robotface.smvi.co/

Let’s play a game, to help some of the newcomers make connections: name 5-7 things that interest you but aren’t in your profile, as tags so they are searchable. Then boost this post or repeat its instructions so others know to do the same.

Annnnddd suddenly its June.
The iterations of Otis. Shaw’s third deputy took some time. I got lucky with Shaw and Pearce, but you have to remember that character design takes work. Lots of iterations end up in the bin.
Otis’ first iteration ended up being Botts - that worked out nicely! - but it took some time to get his shape and face right. We needed him to be less rugged and more lack-of-caring. Check out that baby face.
The stance of his legs sells it, I think.
ROBOTFACE 003: A Wrinkle in Time.
The prompt was "classic book" so I only had one choice.
I read these books for the time four or five years ago (I'm 38 now.) I devoured them... just couldn't stop reading them at all.
I went with Meg from the movie combined with a little more lankiness (something I always related with).
I put this one up on sale at inPRNT: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/maljones/moscow-mule/
inPRNT is an awesome print company by the way. Their quality is amazing. 👍
More #characterdesign work! These two chaps are Silas and Botts, two of Shaw's deputies.
Something a little less formal this time around. Character designs for a long form comic project I'm working on with two friends. It takes place in the early 1900s in Alaska. Shaw and Pearce are two of the main characters, with Shaw being the main protagonist.
And that's it! Thanks for the boosts and the favs everyone. Glad you enjoyed the stories!
#dungeondrawingdudes 28: Summoning Bell
Limping, Sarima drug her broken axe over to the Bell. It floated in the center of the room, the Minotaur’s blood pooling beneath it. Thinking of her friends, she swung the axe at the bell’s mottled surface. “Conroy. Lorador. Awl. Even Sherloche.” The bell rung. She hoped they heard it. The Fallen Lord is trying to come back and maybe, just maybe, they can stop him.
#dungeondrawingdudes 27: Minotaur
The Minotaur stood high above Sarima. She knew that look in its eyes. The Fallen Lord’s evil is here and she had to go through it to get to the bell. Sarima raised her axe before the Minotaur could charge.
#dungeondrawingdudes 26: Treacherous Ledge
“Why the hells didn’t anyone tell me about this so I could put it on map?” Samira yelled to no one. Her echo growled back from below. Wait. Growled?
I finished my bat/let’s be weird together #crossstitch. I am so glad it’s done before Valentine’s Day, although I know it may not get there quite in time. But still. Close!!! It’s for a very dear friend.

Thanks so much for the favorites and boosts, gang!
#dungeondrawingdudes 25: Cursed Altar
In the center of the Bunker, an alter covered in candles lit up the room. If Samira had learned one thing it’s that an altar with a skull and tons of candles is really, really bad thing. When she approached it, she felt a chill… and noticed a small button obscured by some wax.
And the dance of the witches is back... Say "Hello" to Dark Bones....

This grumpy gnome is counting the minutes for its shift to end!
#dungeondrawingdudes 24: Ornate Tobacco Pipe & Box
Sarima’s pipe and tobacco box go everywhere with her. She loves picking up rare types of tobacco and hash on her travels. In stressful situations, she always finds a way to sneak out to a corner, light the pipe and take a breath. It’s how she focuses.
She takes a big puff outside the Bunker and walks in to it’s damp, dank darkness.
