2 of 3 is a symbiotic survival game set on an alien planet - hyaline, of course. it is about conservation as much as it is about survival. if all else fails, it'll at least be a narrative-driven exploration experience

here is a prototype environment video from 2016

1 of 3: the world guide. basically a fancy and longer-than-necessary proof of concept for the game. it contains 2 short stories; one pertaining to the game, one pertaining to the graphic novel.

here are some pages from an ugly test print

there are 3 projects i plan to finish. it's been slow due to 5 years of university & a resulting lack of time & money. i am hopeful i can commit more when i graduate (at the end of 2022!)

i work on them all concurrently because they're all connected. there are no deadlines because i'm not being paid for that. also i just really enjoy the process of worldbuilding

gonna work more on that worldbuilding thread now, incomiiing

trying to figure out how to word different versions of this for different audiences. i hate pop science journalism SO much, which is why the layman version (second) is worded this way. It takes years of study to understand these things. anything else is misinformation

i'm not even joking lol, i'm so perplexed at why my meds work for me and how ones i used to be on differ because in so many ways, on paper, they cancel eachother out. the brain is way more complex than that tho & dosages matter. so i'm trying to come up with a Hypothesis.

@foervraengd its become all about capitalism streamlining lol. hiring less workers to increase profit margins. like as a compsci + cybersecurity student due to graduate in like, nov-dec this year, it's a hard no. not w/o human input anyway

i like computer networking a lot, because if communication breaks its in predictable ways. its why i liked doing HR too - the goal was to make me redundant. if people came to me, it meant a communication breakdown happened along the chain i set up. this personality trait is a part of what makes my writing my writing too, i think. i don't like a lot of fiction writing because it gets in the way of me arriving from point a to point b in a sentence or paragraph, for me personally it's Excessive

this is a very WIP part of a short story, which i'll upload somewhere for people to read when it's done. the lecturer writing style shows through here - there's not really a lot of subjective statements. this style is also what my brain sounds like lol

a friend said the declarative statements in my writing is the most distinct thing in my style and he said it's as if i'm lecturing a class on the topic - which makes sense as to why it read textbook-like to me. definitely not complaining, i don't like most fiction writing because it's so flowery in language, and so, hard for me to follow

the area most fleshed out is where the planned videogame is set. a stretch of rainforest the native people call falih’oko elinneu. they are called the gukeur people. they are amiels - a species of lactating egg-laying simultaneous hermaphrodites. ruled by kol, who is an ancient biomechanical entity.

each populated area has its own independent governance, allowing for an incredibly varied planet. the single world government could not extend their reach beyond their golden city- arifeux. it is the most technologically advanced city on the planet.

the rulers of this city are colonizers from another world. and they are dying. nature won - hyaline was not made for them.

hello! welcome to hyaline. or nierio, or kazauthi, or many others - depending on who you ask.

🧵 replies will contain a detailed introduction (if you're seeing this live, slowly, since I need to caption everything)

i made a long thread on birdsite abt my worldbuilding i need to translate here soon cos it's the most comprehensive i've done, and i needed to revive my old hyaline-related account. it used to be for the game alone, but i jump around on projects so combining it all means i'll Use it
