Wow, I just learned that my definition of "nonplussed" is the informal North American definition and not the original meaning -- learn something new every day -- shall I correct or commit?

Nonplussed

1) Bewildered; unsure how to respond or act.

2) (proscribed, US, informal) Unfazed, unaffected, or unimpressed.

Usage notes: In recent North American English nonplussed has acquired the alternative meaning of "unimpressed". In 1999, this was considered a neologism, ostensibly from "not plussed"

I am sometimes slow at figuring these things out. (or rather get tunnel vision from using the same software)

So one side has beautiful highlights, while other has a softer quality to it. I can't do such a merge easily with #Darktable, but #GIMP can do it, using lighten only blend mode. :)

Subtle change but it still makes a difference.

#Photography is many things to many people, it is supposedly the 'most democratic art' – but the one thing it is not is Reality.

I found this personal bio statement in a photo forum I am active in:
'No filters, no Photoshop, no editing, no processing, no nothing - reality as it is'

I do not understand this. Photography is an art because *YOU* create, not because the camera does. *YOU* click the button, not the camera – and there is nothing 'pure' about *not* using a graphic editor.

I kind of feel sad for all of the great musicians whose works are only played on the phone, while you wait for your calls to be transferred.
