Every year, with some version of the writers vs artists discourse


I don't know how to explain that drawing a comic consumes exponentially more energy than writing one does, not just from the obvious time spent, but from the interpretation/character acting/ camera angle choices/panel design/everything that the artist must visually bring to life

Anyway pay your artist for the gargantuan task of converting stuff like "Dawn. Overhead crowd scene. Monster suddenly appears from below their feet" into something exciting that explodes off the page and hooks an audience haha

I remember trying to make comics back in the day. Took me about 5 hours to complete a page for just the pencIls. Never tried my hand at inking and coloring.
