managed to put together something for day 4: "Ghost dragon"

is it a dragon? dunno, maybe it was but it's not so much now. Had an idea and ran with it, tried a bunch of stuff... smoke and glass in the same illustration, not my brightest idea XD

Finished! Yaaaaay! Waiting to hear if a friend wants to buy the original otherwise it'll be for sale, but I'll alsobe scanning it and putting it on Redbubble. Drawn on A4 paper with a variety of black ink fineliners, pencil for the shading, and white ink for the stars.

Hello!

I'm Sari! I'm an artist from Germany. I love fanart and fantasy and scifi original art and i try to draw as much as possible. I also stream every week on varying days.

Looking forward to finding new artists to share with and also seeing all their posts 😋

Any tips for this site? I'm still figuring stuff out. Also adding a few of my latest drawings. :)

When I joined masto, I gravitated towards following creative peeps and noticed a thing that's pretty common to all of us: we feel guilty for promoting places that people can buy our work or otherwise support us financially. So I started the #CreativeToots hashtag for that very reason. Got an Etsy page? Online store? Patreon? Selling a piece of art? Throw that tag on it. Do it with unfettered abandon. Everyone else: Look at that tag for artists to support. Buy their stuff. Help them create. <3

The Rebeccas

Page 41 of Phill from GCHQ - the comic about a shy surveillance officer in the British equivalent of NSA, whose tranquil but lonely life is roused by three, evil Celtic Gods.

Every year (or well, two years in a row now), I take a few days in Chicago for a vacation/ inspiration trip. Demon of the Underground takes place in a fictitious underground area below Chicago, and I try to incorporate the feeling of Chicago architecture in little bits throughout.

If I had to pick my absolute favorite most inspiring parts of for DOTU, it would be Lower Wacker Drive and Tribune Tower! I'm also obsessed with fire escapes and exposed pipes.

This time around, I got some good photos from the top of the Sears Tower! :D

Here are a few of my Chicago-esque landscapes, and a few of my photos from this trip! (sorry bout the glare)

My once-in-a-while reminder to artists just starting out:

Don't get trapped in the mentality that you need a certain brand of paints, pencils, pens, canvas, paper, markers or software to be a good artist.

There are people out there who paint masterpieces with a stirring stick, their morning coffee the paint and the canvas their paper napkin. There are people who do life-like images with MSPaint!

It's all about the practice, experience and knowledge that YOU have! Don't let large, expensive brands tell you otherwise!
