Because it doesn't happen very often, I celebrate every time somebody purchases one of my maze prints.

This is the maze called "Drought". I started drawing it during the wildfires of 2020. We were confined in our home as the air outside was over-the-top hazardous with smoke and 4mm of ash settled on every surface outside. I drew as I waited to hear the evacuation order that, thankfully, never came.

I'm so excited that I can finally share this piece. I have been working on this off and on for most of April and it was truly a labour of love. I fell in love with green mums in Animal Crossing New Horizons and my island was just littered with them. I decided I wanted some forever green mums for my home too, so I created this piece so I could have some to hang on my wall.

I made this digital painting this morning as a warm up.
