i just joined #mastodon and noticed it's tough to find active people to follow. #trunk communitywiki.org/trunk has built themed lists, which are a great start, but many accounts are stale and there's a lot of clicking to navigate online.

so last night i played with #trunk's API and packaged up some filtering and automation into #python/#selenium so all i have to do is 1 click confirm. i put it on gh this morning for other #newbies like me. github.com/lots-of-things/pytr

Okay, folks - there hasn't been a round of A Whale's Lantern for a while because, simple as it is, life has been incredibly busy. How do y'all feel about having one now? Good idea to distract you? Bad idea because life sucks? Let me know.

In any case, I hope you're all safe and healthy and have some good company if you like company. Also, feel free to send me your bandcamp links so I have something to listen to while social distancing like a pro.

Hello everyone. Please note that we have decided to postpone the Libre Graphics Meeting in Rennes to 2021.

For this year still, we are evaluating the possibility to make an online event, as some have expressed interest in doing so.

Stay tuned. Stay safe. #LGM2020

I had full plans of streaming tonight, but I am just. THAT exhausted. These days a simple outing is an ordeal, also my computer is having technical issues.

So I think I am going to take a break and compromise with just working on some art instead. Art can be done any time of the night, unless streams where you have to worry about what time it is.

@gnome 's Executive Director, Neil McGovern, says: " We see ending desktop fragmentation as the key to Linux success. Feeling united and utterly bored in these hard times also contributed to our decision to merge both projects."

Anyone have "learn to juggle" on their to-do list for this next month or so? I've been honestly wondering whether having a video call over a platform like jitsi would be any more helpful than just watching any of the many video tutorials out there, and would love to have a few test cases to find out! So I'm offering one on one instruction to the lovely people out here on the fediverse. Just let me know and we'll set up a time!

...and that's a wrap. Thanks for everyone who dropped by despite the rampant techtical difficulties tonight, and thanks in particular to @Cheeseness for some very helpful tips.

Next stream will probably be on thursday as I will need a bit of a time to shift things around.
