If you find some cool art via RedBubble, Etsy, TeeSpring, etc: Don't buy it! There's a very high chance it's stolen, and your money will NOT go to the artist.
Take a moment to check the artist's pages elsewhere and see that you're looking at one of their own listings, or if they have their stuff elsewhere.
If you can't find the artist via the shop page, then it's almost certainly stolen, please don't buy it, save your money for something else.
Ig there's still SubscribeStar, and I've heard good things about Comradery too. But like if a site like OF had its bread and butter made with SWs STILL won't stand up for them... what site will???
…I’m seeing people say “just don’t use an iPhone.” It’s not that simple when everyday things like financial apps with two-factor authentication are locked into the two main platforms.
We need legislation to ensure critical services use open standards so you can use your Pinephone to buy lunch in the future.
It’s shocking how easily some folks jump to “just go live in a cave.” No, that’s not an acceptable alternative. We deserve to partake in modern life without sacrificing our human rights…
Y'know while I was away from Mastodon for a bit, I co-founded an Association that is trying to help comic creators. We're almost 400 members strong now - so if you're reading this and you're a fellow creator, you can read our Code of Conduct and Mission Statement below, then join us here: https://discord.gg/sKDrf8Q
The Kickstarter is live!
And Windows/Linux versions of the alpha-demo are now up and available on Itch.io

You'll never guess her favourite colour. 😆
Any time I encounter a roadblock or snag or fine print that only affects nsfw artists I think about all those annoying Tumblr posts about how "I should just draw porn so I can make easy money too"
Please point out on the map where the "easy" part is
interesting thing i learned recently is apparently the cave paintings which have multiple overlapping figures and obscuring carved lines are actually supposed to be ancient animation, sort of like lenticular prints where a different image is seen based on the angle of light hitting it. you're supposed to view the paintings under a moving lantern to actually see the animated movement.
If you got the Indie bundle for Palestinian aid already, Dates & Wires is now part of the 1200+ games included with it, and if you haven't, there's still 12 hours to go :D There are some great titles on there, but also an important cause
Two days and less than $700 left to go on my friend's comic book #Kickstarter! I want this to get funded so I can get this book xP
Interwebs hot take
CDNs make the web faster by making sure a copy of the site is stored somewhere close to each user. But we can also make the web faster by just sending less data.
If CDNs were only used by sites that truly need them (e.g. streaming services), outages wouldn't bring so much of the web down.
To the Ko-Fi Anon who was asking about my Casper PSX maps: Thanks for the Ko-Fi! The maps were made by screencapturing the game in an emulator. It took many, many screenshots.
Sorry, I don't have any fancy tools to rip entire maps from games xP Such tools would usually have to be game-specific, so just taking a lot of screenshots is often faster than writing tools.
I made the webcomic Black Dram! When I'm not working on comics, I'm probably making pixelarty games.
