twitch.tv/johnportercmc/ Going live on now for a special anniversary stream as today marks one year since Corbie launched! Join us to see behind-the-scenes work on issue 4!

A 60 second timelapse showing how the profile art for Anna Dale Academy's vicious girl gang The IC (Josie, Maxine and Ruby) was colored in Photoshop!

youtu.be/7mjMw3g1EkI A quick timelapse vid condensing my process of going from a rough draft comic book page to final pencils - a day's work in sixty seconds!

If you'd like to see more vids like this, please consider subscribing to the Corbie YouTube channel! I'm looking to get back to doing more content on there, from short-form clips like this, to longer how-tos, to livestreams.

Work in progress art from issue 4 of Corbie! Draft pencils are about halfway done now - the plan at the moment is to try and get this issue out in October to mark CMC's first anniversary.

A raging work-in-progress panel of Corbie - one angry bird! I've still got some work to do on the draft pages before I can move on to the finalized pencil art. Fortunately the remaining pages in this issue take place indoors and don't require me to lovingly render any more woodland areas or grassy fields...

twitch.tv/readcmc/ Live on now for a comic book colouring stream! I'll be putting the finishing touches to a page from the Corbie issue 1 remaster and discussing the changes that have been made so far.

Original version of a panel from "Corbie" issue 1 versus the new art. All of the main cast is being redrawn to be more on-model, the early pages are getting recoloured, and a new cover and bonus material is being added.

I really wasn't sure about this project as it requires so much time that could be spent working on new content, but now I'm back on-board. I'm enjoying getting to fix some of the really glaring panels from the early pages that always bugged me!

A small teaser of the full Art Nouveau / Alphonse Mucha style cover for the expanded and remastered version of Corbie issue 1. I'm gradually going through the first issue of CMC and making changes for a future release that you'll be able to own in both digital and print formats. Be sure to follow the various Corbie accounts across IG, YouTube and Twitch to watch it all take shape on the livestreams! 👩⚔🔮🌃

twitch.tv/readcmc Final leg of today's streaming marathon is going live NOW! It's the first Corbie livestream on Twitch as I continue working on the cover art for CMC issue 1's expanded edition (and I might do a toy unboxing at the end too!)

This was originally created for World Day, but only now did I get around to producing this giant-sized poster. A hi-res digital version has now been made available to all donors on Ko-Fi for anyone who'd like to create their own print versions at any size. Further goodies will also be made available to those who contribute, so stay tuned!

It's here! The third issue of "Corinne Morgan, Corbie", The Long Way Back Home, is now available for download and online reading. This one has been a huge undertaking but the end result is (IMHO) the biggest and best issue of CMC so far. I hope you'll enjoy the first Corbiefest of 2019! readcmc.com/comics/

youtu.be/INptXPDNDGo An introduction to Corbie in less than three minutes! Please enjoy this trailer showcasing our introvert / HSP superheroine.

Almost done with the lettering for issue 3. It's somewhat sobering to look at a script that I wrote two years ago and realise how naive I was. Eight panels per page? About as much text as a phone book? I've definitely learned a thing or two about the value of brevity since then.

youtu.be/_8R59Ai7xiM Added a new video to the CMC YouTube channel today. What goes into colouring a page of "Corinne Morgan, Corbie"? In this half hour session I'll show you what my process is, and discuss other methods I've tried that didn't work for me.

Still trying to find my footing with YouTube - the plan is to do more, shorter vids over the next few weeks.

Final pencils for issue 3 of Corbie were completed on Tuesday afternoon. Scanning and cleanup of the art begins today.

Those last few pages seemed to take forever to redraw and wore me down a bit. Feeling refreshed now and ready to move on to this next stage.

Playing with my new camera setup in OBS Studio. (Hot dang! No more dangling my phone above my desk with hairbands.)

Trying to gauge if there'd be any interest in comic making livestreams. If me and my frail little Scottish lamb voice talking about funny books while I draw them sounds appealing, let me know.

Taking the first tentative steps into finding ways to monetize my comic work. Corbie will remain free to read on readcmc.com, but if you'd like to make a contribution to help support it, you can now do so via Ko-fi. Donations of all sizes will be greatly appreciated! ko-fi.com/corbie

Back view of Corbie's character design from pre-issue 1. When everyone received updated model sheets prior to issue 2, only a few minor tweaks were made compared to what you see here, most notably that the "backpack" element of the armor was switched from blue to red.
