Regarding successful people turning out to be assholes and abusers

Y2K was a huge issue in computing that was replicated among many systems worldwide. The reason why the world at large never saw anything bad occur was that a lot of people worked extremely hard to update afflicted systems.

Developers who had worked on mainframe systems writing code in languages that hadn't been used in one of more decades came out of retirement and worked overtime.

And once it was fixed... that was it. Nothing happened. Nobody ran articles talking about this enormous effort.

Hey everyone! Now that we're two decades past it, let's have a heart to heart chat about the Y2K bug.

Some of you might not be old enough to remember the panic articles and news stories surrounding this, and some of us were old enough that we've forgotten the details, but the gist was this: many commercial computer applications, such as bank and medical record software, used to be written to store dates with a 2-digit year, and assumed that everything took place between 1900 and 1999.

[RE-DRAW] Lune the Moonfox

This Redraw changed a bit from the original but it fits my Boy Lune a lot more. Since he himself changed a lot too x)

Quite happy with the background since my painting skills still lack a lot! xD

New here? Remember that Twitter is optimized to make you into passive consumers, by en(r/g)aging you with content that you don't choose yourself.

Here, that doesn't happen. But it also means you're responsible to find people to follow.

It will take some work.

If you're willing to put that in, you'll find a wide variety of friendly people that will be happy to have meaningful conversions and laugh and cry together with you.

Start by searching and looking at who other people follow.

I've always had a more difficult time finding good BL so it feels very rewarding when I do.

I read the first volume of I Hear the Sunspot tonight and that shit was cute

My neighbor lent me a cane so I can hobble around while my back works its shit out.

Shoutout to all the disability activists who've done the work of normalizing & destigmatizing mobility aids. I went directly from "hey I can walk while leaning but it hurts to walk completely upright" to "where can I borrow the tool that is meant for this exact situation", without you I would've wasted a bunch of time in weird denial.

Finally we're leaving that awkward part of the century where we didn't really know how to refer to the decade

80s, 90s, "other," mumbling, 20s!!

I finished watching Princess Jellyfish today. It was a very pleasant and funny anime.

Scholar and Summoner level up together. I don't actually play Summoner at all (I'll do the job quest eventually) but it's always the same level as Scholar.

I wasn't feeling too great earlier tonight so I didn't play a whole lot of Final Fantasy. I logged off before getting Red Mage to level 70, but it is level 69 (nice). Scholar is 76.

The amount of people I know who would actually get this joke is so small

Tonight's edition of "time is a flat circle" is the fact that the word "hipster" was used in the 1940's with the exact same meaning as we use it today

Some rough pokemon watercolour doodles. Gettin back into the drawing swing

The proliferation of “energy boosting” drinks and snacks is directly proportional to the steady conversion of human beings into production and consumption machines
