Do you have to be any GOOD? Will real artists laugh at me (I mean, of course they will, but will they do it in that kind, gentle, encouraging way? Or run me off all the respectable artistic instances? Because I'm terrible at this!)

All you need is wanting to take part :)

There is no constraint on skills, techniques, methods, style... It can be a true sketch, with only hints of shapes, or it can be a finished piece with shadings and reflections and whatnots... Pencil, watercolors, oil painting, crayons, traditional or digital,

I'll let you in on the secret, though: the #DailySketchChallenge is for people to dare create, and share. The suggestions are just a way to get started. :)

@hollyjahangiri @Algot Addendum: you don't even need to start from scratch -- for instance imagine you have a rough sketch that you never got to cleaning up into a lineart, and a #DailySketchChallenge reminds you of it, then by all means take the opportunity to progress on that sketch and post the result!

As @Ayior already said: it's not about being good or better than others, but about practicing, improving through daily practice & sharing.
