Artists, please don't worry that content warnings might give you less exposure, though! People on here in fact tend to boost your toot _more_ if you're using a content warning, knowing they won't potentially traumatise friends while at the same time being able to show your toot to those who might be interested in your art/comic.

Content warnings are a vital tool on Mastodon to protect those who are sensitive to being exposed to such content, like people who might have been threatened with guns who could be triggered to relive their trauma.
Even in the form of text or a drawing, people might be sensitive to such content, so it's never wrong to consider hiding an image or both text and the picture from the immediate view of other users.
