Doing something for my #horror aspect! This is a #fanart for 'Begotten', an experimental horror classic from 1990, directed by E. Elias Merhige. I don't like everything about the movie, but it left a lasting impression on me.
Do you have older/unusual horror movie recommendations? True horror never dies...or at least keeps coming back.

@enkiv2 thank you so much! Obscure is no problem, rather a bonus! I put them on my watchlist!
@Styxcolor Blood and Roses is one of the many 60s european loose-adaptations of Carmilla, and features scenes planned by Salvador Dali. Most releases are of this weirdly-desaturated pastel-colored print. It's very distinct-looking.
@enkiv2 awesoooooomee! Thank you very much for the recommendation! I'll surely have tons of fun, sounds like arthouse a bit.
@Styxcolor On the non-european side, Hausu (1977) is very fun. It was directed by a japanese tv-advertising person, based on suggestions by his young daughter (who was like 7 or 8 I think?)
@Styxcolor Eraser head is pretty good but is kinda controversial. Hmmm, Audition (1999) is pretty neat and I haven't seen HAUSU but I've heard it is pretty good.
@ChrisTalleras oh riiight, I have heard of Eraserhead but not watched it. Time to change that! Thank you very much for the recommendations! They're on my watchlist now.
@Styxcolor
The Innocents, Blood & Roses, and Suspiria are all visually striking. not sure how obscure you want to go with it.
