Pinned post

Ok, take 3 on making an actual real post. I'm Zero, a freelance reporter who does and dabbles in and art on the side. I do a lot of tabletop and board gaming too, and occasionally pretend to be a badger person on the internet for fun!

Been a while since I made a new post. Today, a memorial to my little traveling buddy, Abby. This is from our trip to the Gunflint Trail in 2014.

Bit of a long shot since I don't have much of a presence on here, but I'm open for to make ends meet this month! Hit me up if you want a shiny rare Zero commission!

$50 for lines, $75 for flats, $100 for fully shaded.

white guys: can't say anything these days

also white guys: Why I Will Not Rinse the Dishes, a 46-part YouTube series (now a major motion picture)

Oh hey look, it's my header image for today's post. This shot, titled "Loam," is probably one of my favorite photos in my collection.

I love collecting weird mushrooms and unique flowers in my travels, but I never pick them, I just get a shot and move on. Take only photos, leave only tracks!

This one was taken in 2015 on a *rough* back country trail in northern MN. In hindsight, I'm pretty sure it wasn't an open/maintained trail, but it led me to something neat.

Uh oh, it's , the time of year at which my powers are at their peak!

To celebrate, today's post is a little out of order from the timeline I've been putting up. These are from Twin Cities in 2018! Not only are these some of my favorite shots I've taken, but they hold a special place in my heart as being from my first ever Pride out of the closet.

Titles: Attitude, Dance, Do-si-do, and Worn with Pride
Location: Minneapolis, MN, 2018

Yet another update, this time from a 2015 trip up the Gunflint Trail in northern MN. This one was taken at Honeymoon Bluff. I was just getting the hang of shooting in manual mode and capturing sky shots without overexposing them. I cheated a little bit here and focused on the reflection instead of the sky itself >_>

Back on that daily grind with some leafs

Taken in Hobson Forest, near Bemidji, MN, in 2014.

Fun fact, this photo was originally published as part of the NE Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce's annual neighborhood calendar. I've been doing photography for them for the past three or four years now.

Oof, it's been a hot minute since I made a post. I've been busy this past week, but time to get the ball rolling again. Here, have some urban turkeys.

The local flock of "Nordeast Turkeys" has been running NE Minneapolis with an iron talon for years.

Time for my daily post! Today, I offer this friendly fellow, whom I met on the Winchell Trail along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. (I did not have any bread, so we did not remain friends)

I neglected to put up my daily posts over the weekend, so here, have a batch of them!

Some for you guys today. These were some of the first photos I ever had published, taken while covering the Northeast Parade and the Columbia Heights Jamboree for my newspaper gig in Minneapolis.

Titles: Groove, Swing, and Climb
Locations: Minneapolis, and Columbia Heights, MN, 2014
Camera: Canon 60D

Those moss pics didn't count for my daily post. Here's an old fav of mine, tangentially related to moss, even!

Bonus post for the day because I realized my last post wasn't my oldest photo. These are from when I was doing sports photography for the school back in college.

Titles: Glass Check, and Man Down
Location: The Sanford Center, Bemidji, MN, 2012
Camera: Canon 60D

Gonna start uploading my on here bit by bit, starting with some of my oldest shots.

I think I'll upload one or two photos a day until I'm all caught up to the present. :3

I suppose I should probably lead with my ref sheet, shouldn't I?

Anyways, this is my sona, Zero. They're basically a robot in a very sophisticated fursuit and they would very much like it if you helped them get their arm back on.
