Wishfulness: While I am really grateful that we live in a digital era, and that the fact that I can’t write with a pen due to my #disability isn’t so awful because I can manage a computer, doing this still causes problems. Voice recognition can be helpful, but it still requires going in and editing the gibberish after and manually clicking around etc. I’d like there to be a type of technology you can just operate with your mind like telekinesis
@Jules !! That's fascinating! I'm struggling through work atm but I've bookmarked this article and I'll come back to it and read it properly later, that's really exciting even if it's early stages yet
@Jules @Shonalika that's very interesting! I didn't know that was a thing :) There's also Exoskeletons controlled by the brain 😀 https://www.livescience.com/51940-mind-controlled-exoskeleton-robot.html of course, it needs more time and investments so it can be a real affordable thing
@moshtodon @Jules Just been reading through both these articles. Was a bit eeked out by the fact that the electrocorticography patch actually has to be placed on the brain itself for the first one XD But then they used people who had those implanted already, can't imagine many would really want to volunteer for that. This stuff is amazing! I wonder how long it will take before they start having practical use
@Shonalika They are working on it!! 👾
Brain-to-text could be a thing, it's too slow and still too early research now, but it's happening :)
