If you have questions regarding Romanian gramar, or Romanian in general you can ask me :) I am Romanian.

@andreipetcu Thank you, Andrei! Will have you in mind. :) Although I wouldn't say that Romanian is a difficult language to learn. The size of vocabulary is my main concern, I'd say. :) And sometimes verbs.

@andreipetcu I went to Moldova three or four years ago, and I fell in love. Ce frumos e plaiul! :) Also, this language is music in itself. It's very melodic, and the people are naturally musical, and when this all is combined together excellent music is created.

People often laugh at me when I say that Romanian sounds beautiful. :) Romanians themselves say it's a "peasant" language. Don't know why. And even if so, then what. :) Doesn't take the beauty out of it.

@SeventhMagpie It's hard to appreciate something you god used to your whole life :) I cannot say if it is or is not beautiful. Some Moldavians say that they are speaking Moldavian language, not Romanian. These languages are 99% the same. I can have a good conversation with a Moldavian except for a few words they picked up from Russian. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moldov

@andreipetcu Not some. Most Moldavians call their language Moldavian. Although it does seem mostly the same to me. At least, I cannot see any significant differences yet, apart from pronunciation. In Chiศ™inฤƒu I bought a textbook, and it includes a CD with both Moldavian and Romanian pronunciation. That's probably a regional difference. This kind of thing happens in other languages, too.

@SeventhMagpie The pronounciation is quite different but we understand each other clearly. It's similar how the English language has different accents... Canadian, Australian, British, Textan and so on.

@SlowRain It's really awkward, but I have to say that haven't read him. :) I know about the film, but I haven't read the books. Should I fix that as soon as possible? :) It's just that I'm always wary about such huge series. Did you enjoy the books?

@SeventhMagpie
I've read #books 1-4 & 10. The 1st one was a bit overwritten & the 2nd one was dreadful. The 3rd was decent & the 4th was very good. I really should continue #reading them. However, the 10th was episodic & like a soap opera, so I imagine they fell off in quality sometime before that. I suggest skipping the 2nd one; you won't miss anything. But read book 1 first.
