@ajroach42 It's 3D printing all the way, although I've been looking into trying resin stuff at some point
I remember seeing a video a whole ago on someone who 3D printed the base of a logo and made a mold of it for resin casting, I'[ll definitely check it out sometime
@MannyKat8x I’ve been fiddling with resin casting for years to mixed results, but this figure would be well suited for it, I think.
@ajroach42 thinking about it, I have bigger models that take FOREVER to print but would probably take even less time to make if I made like 4 copies in a mold and put resin in all of them
@MannyKat8x that’s what I do. And I used a 15 minute resin, so they are done in no time. (But the 15 minute stuff is a little soft when it cures.)
‘Smooth on’ has all kinds of stuff.
@MannyKat8x Neat! They look 3D printed, are you molding/casting duplicates, or printing all the way?
(If you're not molding and casting, it might be worth looking in to. You can do it cheaply and *very* quickly, and if you can experiment with resins, you can almost certainly get something close to the same texture and strength.)
