I just got humiliated by my doctor saying that I shouldn't join chronic fatigue movement because it will "convince me that my symptoms are real" followed by a Freudian speech.
He wants to stop the treatment because "it's all in your head"
How many of us are going through this?
Btw if anyone knows a good GP in London welling to prescribe pregabalin I am VERY interested.

The biggest problem is that chronic fatigue syndrome is actually a auto immune disease , but it is considered as a mental illness / histeria diagnostic in A LOT of countries, France included.
This ted talk is explaining these issues in a nutshell, and giving some hope too for people like me having unhelpful doctors.
@LouMcField The causes of so many of these conditions seem to be poorly understood. I've had people tell me it's all in my head before, and my reaction is always like; "Oh great! I'll just stop being in pain then ^^" fs
I guess it's not surprising as the human body is so complex and we're still learning so much about it, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

@KnotKnormal well for now he has not crossed enough the line to be reported & he still prescribing the treatment for the next 4 months.
So I have 4 months to find a new GP , UK or French (living in foreign country helps because double choice)
Someone who can at least listen and at the best who would be willing to continue my treatment and / or trying new things to give me a better lifestyle with my disability.
There are good pain clinics in Camden but I need a referral 😅
@LouMcField Fricking what the hell?!? Even in situations when symptoms are resulting because of a fuck up in the brain rather than the body that doesn't make them "not real". By that logic nobody should have mental disorders! If you feel pain, you feel pain. End of. Ugh.
