Time for an #introduction
I have returned to Mastodon! I chose the art community because that is what I like to do and share when online.
Currently, I am working on a webcomic project about and alchemist and a demon. Still working on my buffer!
In my day job, I am a manager of electrical engineers. I used to be a field engineer myself. If anyone wants to know how electricity or airplanes work, ask me!
I also curate an artistic resource doc. Feel free to use it!

Colorize on Clip Studio makes it look like I know how to use digital watercolor.
I am so tempted to just do a comic all in sketches instead of lineart and color it this way. Seems so much easier!
This is Kel. She's a pirate.

Some hashtagged challenges / prompts for you to keep an eye on:

#5MinuteSketch
(^ there's some overlap with these)
#ArtReference
#DailyDraw
#ArtBrave
#DotArtHappy
#Architecdoodle
Since I am figuring out how this works, I'm gonna start a hashtag for my #webcomic project.
This is for #TangledThreads
Astrath is a blacksmith. Her favorite things are her hammer and using other people as armrests, as she is taller than anyone else in the story (even her brothers)
work: inclusion, diversity and equity
Hey fedis! I'm working on ID&E initiatives for my org and I'm looking for feedback from others about programs they've built or seen built that provided specific, measurable results.
I am fighting for dedicated headcount allocations, so I need to be specific about what work we'll use that allocation for and how we'll measure the impact of that work. I am specifically targeting team-level, tactical stuff as opposed to top-down initiatives on education, awareness, etc.
If you identify as a member of an underrepresented group within your workplace, and you have examples of actions your team/org/employer has taken that has either made material improvements to your experience and/or tried but failed to do so, I'd be very interested to hear about it.
Boosts welcomed for reach. Thanks!
@djwaglmuffin when we gonna draw again?
Here are some pieces! #OC from my upcoming comic, Tangled Threads.
We have, from order upper left to lower right:
Mel talking with Scyene
Seth crashing down on Nys
Mel as a Magical Girl (she is much too timid to wear this clothing in the story, but she looks good in it)
Scyene reference sheet (I took away his hair)

@djwaglmuffin I see you! (Its TeJay)
I like art, comics, and stories. If you like those things, we'll get along.
I am a hobbyist artist, but my day job is energy infrastructure engineering.
