Hey yall, I really need help and am not sure what to do anymore
My wisdom teeth are very super impacted and they hurt and keep getting worse. And I also have cavities that I really need fixed. But unfortunately i live in the US I can’t afford $4000 for these essential procedures on my own
More info in my gofundme link below but if y’all could donate\boost\help in any way it’d mean a lot to me

Look into getting the work done by supervised students at a university with a good dental program.
There may be a chance to qualify for Care Credit a private loan outfit. No interest if paid back within a certain amount of time.
I am sorry that I am not able to help with more than that.
Good luck with everything.
Unfortunately Leelums mentions in their GoFundMe link that CareCredit already turned them down. :(
@Leelums hope everything works out, teeth can be really annoying and painful 😣
@Leelums
May I suggest going to a dentist in Mexico? I think the plane + expenses are much cheaper than a US procedure.
That said, there should be an online community for this kind of thing so that you can pick an affordable doctor without risking your health.
Personal experience: My wisdom tooth extraction cost me around 5000 pesos (one side, bottom teeth), which should be 250 dollars at most.
It was done by a maxilofacial surgeon which my dentist recommended; he was good - he used a modern technique which didn't require cutting flesh. In a few days I was able to work from home 🙂
i just donated to the gofundme. can any of my followers/mutuals donate? they are more than half way there!
@Leelums is it cool to share this on twitter or other social media?
I'm sorry you're dealing with this, wisdom tooth impaction is so painful! I don't know much about payment plans or how care credit works but I wonder if you can appeal the decision and reapply, or maybe there was just some piece of info missing. I know doing that kinda thing takes a ton of effort but might be worth it!
@Leelums I’m so sorry for your situation. Healthcare in the US is rough. I was in a similar situation in the past and ended up using a dental school who treated me for supper cheap. That and if you have Medicaid you also qualify for some help. The HHS site has some great info. https://www.hhs.gov/answers/health-insurance-reform/where-can-i-find-low-cost-dental-care/index.html I would look for local dental schools around me and see what offerings where available. This is another great resource. https://healthversed.com/2019/12/how-to-get-wisdom-teeth-removed-for-less/ Hopefully thing a get better for you.
