Cigarette packages are getting so disgusting in Denmark, that even though i never smoked I too have to be punished watching them in the local supermarket.
I used to enjoy the beautiful graphic design of the packages, but now...
@nostalgiaforthedigital - I guess that we have to endure unpleasant things - it's part of life and being part of a human society :) - but it’s a strange way to go about it… people know that it is unhealthy and still 17% of the population chooses to smoke. Why not just let them - and let the beautiful packages be beautiful?
@Katharsisdrill @nostalgiaforthedigital yes! what smokers (trying to quit) need are better programs and alternatives, those that do not want to or can't quit shouldn't be mocked for it.
the designs of Nat Shermans and similar come to mind, gorgeous (and tasty). if anything i enjoy designs that make it feel more like a treat, if i get something that nice I smoke it less often :)

@Katharsisdrill same here. The packs always had great designs. Oh well
@krruzic @Katharsisdrill the rest of EU ones are still mild compared to UK and FR, where the pack (other than health warning picture) is now a drab olive military style colour and only contains the brand name. Not surprisingly, cigarette cases are now making a comeback in both countries.
@vfrmedia @Katharsisdrill noticed cases were quite popular in France.
@Katharsisdrill I saw them for the first time at a duty-free shop at the Hamburg airport. It was pretty shocking so I can’t even imagine having to look at them every time you go to the supermarket.
