Happy new year!
I spent the last four days in a mess re-organizing and fixing my 10 year old tablet + drivers because I updated to Windows 10.
I'm keeping on with warm-up sketches though, lots of things I want to learn and get done this year, so I'll give it my best shot!
(Also silently screaming about the end of Realm Reborn in FFXIV. it was real good. )

Arathil and Pyri. drawing these two characters reminded me how much I miss D&D and RP forums. slowly building extravagant stories with people over the course of years through minuscule character interactions....
There are still a lot of places to do that but none that feel as cozy as the places I used to go that shut down. 😭

Yesterday was a no go because I was having a situation where I just couldn't draw properly no matter what I did. so I spent the entire day reading and researching historical documents to better flesh out the comic world and story I'm working on!

I like the effect posterize has on colors. though I think that might just be because love the portraits from The Secret of Monkey island.
limiting color palettes and resolution creates an extremely interesting texture that I don't see much of these days.
Drawing really awkward angles is a good way to warm up. but also a good test of your limits to not swear very early in the morning. 😰
