My alarm clock is old and has an auto daylight savings feature that doesn't seem to work anymore. So last week I switched the timezone to make the time read correctly.

Today it switched for daylight savings.


The clock may be hard wired with the legislated dates of DST from the era when it was made.

Since then, for some reason VERY CLEAR to those who voted, DST dates were changed.

Please, give me standard time all year long!

@Algot probably not the whole story because the original dates were on the weekends as well. So switching on a Thursday shows a different error.



Could Thursday's date have been on a weekend back then?

(I agree, it no longer matters, of course. It's just fun to wonder about the algorithm embedded in your clock's silicon.)
