Foul ball: "a noisy strike"
@Algot he's not wrong, but what if it's a strike 2 foul?
This particular one was a long foul just to the right of the foul pole...with crowd noise, even with the small attendance at the game.

I had never heard it before.
So far no help from Internet search.
The phrase apparently isn't new. I stopped looking after reading two uses.
@Algot I've never heard it before and I grew up listening to Phillies baseball on the radio. It's very apt.
