The first one sounds more like something a real person would say, the last one is definitely more of a "book" type of thing.

I'm trying to think about real-world examples of similar idioms and I'll reply again if I find one better than "Qui vole un œuf vole un bœuf."

@AesAthena the first is what my grandmother used to say to me. It means don't steal even a penny. If say the second and third are closer to what you want.
