Redoing my #introduction pinned post I had, now that I've moved.

Hi! I like #books - mostly #sff if I'm honest, although I'll read whatever I can get my hands on given my mood. #art - I love seeing everything creative and sometimes I am myself. #gaming and #videogames - I love #ffxiv in particular but I've been known to play other things once in a while.

I'm sure there's other stuff that'll pop up across my posts, as I find things that strikes my fancy. I like to collect shiny things.

I just finished the latest Hildibrand quests, I desperately needed that laugh tonight. I always like these side quests and generally save them for a day when I need the serotonin boost.

Hildy always seems to be a "love it or hate it" sort of thing for people. Sometimes I know he, and his story lines, can be a bit much.

I'm glad the devs found something new to write for him and I'm looking forward to his even further adventures. 😂 (screenshot from the credits roll of the quest line, spoilers)

I'm a bit overwhelmed this past week or two. Bad political news today on top of someone in the house recovering from cancer surgery yesterday and another family member diagnosed with terminal cancer -I'm just out spoons for everything.

I'm not sure what do or who to talk to and I hesitate to talk to the few friends I have too much because its just gloom and doom all the time and I know its a lot. So, posting into the void to get this out of my system for now.

My Free Company managed to win a smol plot in Ishgard this last lottery round. We wanted to open up our legacy fc plot in private housing so that someone could get a house of their own.

I've been spending the past couple days decorating and I think we're finally done, for the most part. At least until actual alpine pillars and partitions are made for the game. #ffxiv

Finished the "Make it Rain" event in ffxiv today and I liked it. They had a new emote as a reward and it's fun, I've seen a lot of good memes made with it already.

I pretty much always enjoy the holidays and events in-game. They have short quests and cute rewards for minimal effort. Also, the towns get decorated up and thats fun to wander around and see.

I've been sick for the past week and haven't gotten much done around the house. I'm hoping I feel better soon as the chores are beginning to pile up but the siren song of the comfy bed is still calling to me. Maybe tomorrow. 💤

I've been spending a lot of time in the car, riding to and from appointments and such. Today it was rainy and while I waited, I took some pictures. I just liked how they came out. (Raindrops on glass.)

Today I'm going to try and finish off the Blue Mage fights I haven't been able to win yet.

I've just got the last level of the Carnivale (31) and one spell left, Cold Fog from the Burn and I've been itching to get back to it and haven't had the time this week.

Suffice it to say, I may be a bit absent or scattered this week.

The past 3 days with the MS and anxiety issues of a family member have been a lot.

It's hard to keep my patience when I'm running on 12 hours over that span, although I know they've not slept at all, and I have to keep reminding myself to just take a moment and refocus.

Being the primary caretaker is a lot and everything is still so new so its hard to tell which is the MS, a stress response, or what might be a side effect. Or who even knows. My own ADHD isn't helping.

Picked up a couple of audiobooks from audible's 2 for 1 sale, a Laurie R. King from her Sherlock and Mary series and a Craig Johnson from his Walt Longmire series.

I'm still working my way through the J. D. Robb books, which has probably the best narrator I've heard to date.

I wish I could sit for any length of time to just read but I always feel like I should be doing something else instead so that makes it fairly difficult to concentrate and enjoy whatever I've picked.

Did a little flying around in game with a friend. We decided to have a chill evening tracking down our weekly hunt marks. #ffxiv

Decided to spend a quiet evening crafting up various materials for other crafts.

I've got the house to myself so I'm listening to podcasts, I've got a nice candle lit, doing chill things in a game I enjoy. 🎮

I'm also working on various lists of things I need to start getting done: weekly, monthly, and for the year. Basically, it's a night of contemplation and planning.
